“Using Integrative Style for Intraorganization Negotiations”

Have you ever witnessed an intraorganizational effort fall short of success because it did not gain the interest or collaboration of other departments?  On March 17th, we will discuss employing the integrative style of negotiation within organizations.  The presentation will outline a four phased approach to achieve your department's goals while maintaining positive relationships, improving collaboration and overcoming interoffice politics.

Celese Rowden Ward is an Auburn graduate.  She recently relocated to Huntsville, AL but prior to that lived in Charlotte, NC since graduating from college.  Her most recent experience was with Urban Green Land Development and Renovation which she founded with her husband. The 11 years prior saw her with Central Piedmont Community College, the third largest community college in the nation, serving 70,000 students annually.  At CPCC she served first as Program Coordinator for Advanced Technologies, then as the Project Manager for a college-wide change initiative and finally advanced to the position of Executive Director of Instructional Technology Services with a diverse staff of just under 50 serving all students and faculty across 6 campuses.  It was in the roles of project manager and director that Celese developed her negotiating skills.  As the only female in senior leadership within a male dominated division, her insights for women on negotiation are informative and enlightening.  She is married to Sid Collier Ward and has 2 children.
